Surveying People and Becoming Quite Confuzzled...

Recently, I was involving myself in a survey for school when I came across something that caused much botheration... I say recently because I was conducting my survey today, at Ralph's, in the rain. Now the thing about the rain is that, while glorious, it does cause much stress to many people and is the source of much troubles as well. One of these troubles tends to be that many people (*cough* Californians *cough*) are unable to deal with the slight chill that is a result of light winds during the rain (more like drizzle...). Now, these same people also tend to like wearing open-toed shoes called 'flip-flops' -- at the same time as it's raining. Therein lies the problem! See, any sensible person would be inclined to realize that wearing flimsy flip-flops (not even good quality sandals!!) in the (slight) cold without any type of sweater, jacket, or outer layers, is bound to be an extremely unwise decision that you will be sure to regret! Right, the survey... As I was sitting there in the rain, I noticed an alarming amount of people whose common sense seemed to have momentarily escaped them. As you might have correctly guessed, they were all wearing flimsy-flip-flops... The whole time, I'm sitting on this white-tiled bench recording what types of shoes people are wearing and I'm commenting on everything happening around me. When the wind starts picking up and whipping the water falling from the skies all around, these decidedly confused people have also started running around. In fact, one of these people decided she just had to tell me just how much she was freezing. (As if I couldn't already tell from her shivering and all her attempts to warm herself...) Then, there was one person who decided that walking around in flip-flops would be a good idea, but only since she was also using a black umbrella... (No, just no...) At around 4:30 pm, I made a different observation -- this one actually amused me and made sense. Over the 2 hours and 40 minutes that I had been there, my comments and notations had become increasingly sarcastic; which I didn't know was possible. I felt very accomplished and I now have a great sense of self-achievement... (oh, happy days!~) Apparently, being annoyed, hungry, numb, bored out of your mind, and acting the spy does that to you... Who would've guessed? After all of that, I have concluded that I now have a new pet peeve, my fellow Californians need some serious help, chocolate milk is awesome, (dark-side) cookies are made up of two smileys and are epic, I like being a spy and I'm surprisingly good at observing people without their notice, people have some really nice shoes, and Californians need to start saying hello, smiling, and/or friendly nodding to people.
...Now, I just have to do that all over again...for two more days... Oh, joy! Aren't I lucky?!?
